WHO COMPETES?
Our competition teams consist of performers from ages 6-18, with select opportunities for ages 4 & 5. We offer dynamic and engaging competitions in:
- Hip Hop & Contemporary
- Jazz
- Pom & Drill
- Voice
- Musical Theatre
- Photogenic

WHEN WILL WE PERFORM?
Competitions will take place during the winter and spring seasons. Each competition is typically a 3 day event, with solos and duets performing on Friday evenings, and group performances scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. We aim to keep our travels local, with one event in North Dallas.

WHEN DO WE PRACTICE?
To participate in our competition teams, students must be registered for the relevant class in their chosen genre. For dance teams, registration in ballet or jazz classes is also required. Soloists, duets, and trios must schedule four private lessons for choreography and refinement. Competition vocalists need to be enrolled in the voice/acting class and are required to schedule four private lessons before the first competition. Students competing in the photogenic category must be registered in at least one Talent Factory class and will schedule session for a headshot with our in-house photographer.
Rehearsals:
- Dance teams will have select weekend rehearsals (Saturdays or Sundays) to learn and perfect their routines.
- Vocalists and other competitors will coordinate private lessons based on their individual schedules.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
- Company Fees: $70 per month (September-December) or $250 upfront, in addition to regular class fees. This covers all additional rehearsals. Some dances may require a one-time $35 prop fee.
- Private Lessons: $70 per hour. Duets and trios can split this cost.
- Vocalists: No extra rehearsal fee; only pay for private lessons and any additional lessons beyond the required four. Students may share the hour to help with costs. Max (2)
- Photogenic Category: $150 photography fee.
- Competition Registration Fees: Varies by competition. Average is $50 per entry, with higher fees for solos and duets. Fee schedule will be announced in October.
- Costumes: Approximately $125 per number, due in November. Costs may vary. Vocalists, soloists, duets, and trios will have costume fees determined by their group.

- Register for Classes: Sign up for your class now to start training and get to know your teacher.
- Attend Auditions: Auditions date TBD. Register for auditions and indicate your preferred genre and whether you're interested in a solo, duet, or trio.
- Photogenic Students: No audition required. We’ll schedule a photography session to discuss how to create your best photo.
- Vocalists and Dancers: You’ll be given a set time for your audition. Most dancers will be placed on a large group team for at least one number. Small groups, solos, duets, and trios will be selected based on auditions.
- Rehearsal Schedule: The final placements and weekend rehearsal schedules will be announced after auditions.
